HINKLEY POINT
Xacom was engaged to provide Planning and Scheduling development at Fairport Engineering for their Hinkley Point C contract. Fairport Engineering were selected to design and Manage the construction of a solution to transfer and house sand and aggregate for the Hinkley Point C concrete foundation mix.
The solution was split into two main parts:

Ground storage system where sand and aggregate is transferred from a ship to shore into a ground storage system consisting of 11 separate pens.

Storage silo where the Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag is delivered by road tanker and pneumatically conveyed into the silo. The Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag is then pumped to 4 concrete batching plants.
Xacom provided the following services:

Development of the Primavera P6 schedule in conjunction with the Engineering team

Alignment of the schedule to NEC 3 scheduling requirements
